ಪ್ರಭಾವಿ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಯೊಬ್ಬನ ಮುದ್ದಿನ ಮಗ ದೀಪಕ್, ಮದ್ಯಪಾನ ಮಾಡಿ ಕಾರು ಚಲಾಯಿಸಿ ಫುಟ್‌ಪಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದ ನಿರ್ವಸಿತರ ಸಾವಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಈ ಅಪಘಾತವು ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ ಆಕ್ರೋಶವನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವನ ತಂದೆ ಈ ಘಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಹಾಕಲು ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದ ಬಾಯಿಮುಚ್ಚಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ರವಿ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಹಾಕಲು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತನ್ನದೇ ತನಿಖೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌನವೂ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಆವರಿಸುವಾಗ, ಚಿತ್ರವು ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತರದಾಯಿತ್ವದ ನಡುವಿನ ಬಿಗುವಾದ ಸಂಘರ್ಷವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯು ದುರ್ಬಲರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಬದಲು ತಪ್ಪಿತಸ್ಥರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಯಾವ ಮಟ್ಟದ ವರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.

Shankar Nag (b. 1954, Mallapur), was a ""man in a hurry"", a hurricane of creativity who achieved in 12 years what most couldn't in a lifetime. After honing his craft in Mumbai’s Marathi theater, he and his brother Anant Nag founded Sanket, an amateur theater group that remains a cornerstone of the arts. He debuted with ONDANONDU KALADALLI (1978), winning a Silver Peacock Award and earning the title ""Karate King "". A rare paradox, Nag was both a mass hero for the working class in AUTO RAJA (1980) and a sophisticated visionary. His directorial masterpieces, like the kinetic MINCHINA OTA (1981) and the gritty ACCIDENT (1984), redefined Kannada cinema. Driven by technical foresight, he established Sanket Electronics, Karnataka's first electronic recording studio, single-handedly bringing film post-production and advanced audiography from Chennai to Bengaluru. From bringing R.K. Narayan’s MALGUDI DAYS to life to shooting India’s first underwater sequences in ONDU MUTTINA KATHE (1987), his ambition was boundless. Off-screen, he was a compassionate futurist dreaming of low-cost housing and a Metro for Bangalore. Though he passed away at 36, his spirit endures. His face still adorns the auto-rickshaws of Karnataka, a testament to a luminary who burned briefly but bright enough to light the way for generations.
